Curiosity led him to the very beginning that shaped him into existence and he realised, upon reaching it, that even beyond it, in the black, amorphous nothingness that had not yet been filled with the light of stars and the rush of planets blooming to life, there was something. It was not alive and it had no purpose, nor any substance that would render it visible
